You charge the vacuum cleaner with a charging cord. The battery does not have to be in the device during the charging process. You can simply remove the battery and charge it at any socket. You can also charge the battery in the wall mount. To do this, attach the supplied wall mount to the wall near a socket to charge your hoogo S4 in a space-saving manner. With the optionally available additional battery, you can also vacuum while the other battery is still being charged, thus doubling the running time of the device.

It takes a maximum of 3.5 hours. The LEDs on the battery show you the charging progress. Once all 5 of the LEDs light up, the battery is fully charged. If the hoogo S4 is not connected to the power supply, the LEDs serve as a battery indicator. The fewer LEDs light up, the empty the battery.

The dust container can only hold a limited amount of dirt. You should empty the dust container regularly at the very latest once the suction power decreases. To empty the container, simply open the dust container lid and hold it over a garbage can. Now lightly knock on the container to empty it and wipe with a dry cloth, if needed.

It is important to clean the exhaust filter regularly, otherwise dust can obstruct the airflow. As a result, the suction power in the nozzle decreases. To clean the exhaust filter, press the detent to unlock the filter. Take out the exhaust filter and knock on it lightly or brush it with a soft brush, for example the furniture brush. Put the filter back in. Only clean the exhaust filter dry, as it is damaged by water or wetness.

For an optimal cleaning of the dust container, you should sometimes wash the filter after emptying the dust container. To do that, first empty the dust container above a garbage can. Then take out the filter and knock on it as well, if needed. Then you can rinse the filter with clear water. Let the filter dry for at least 24 hors at room temperature before putting it back in the device.

Dirt can accumulate over time, which obstructs the turning motion of the brush. That is why we recommend regular checks and cleaning. Turn off the hoogo S4 and press the detent on the suction pipe to unlock the floor nozzle. If this does not come off immediately, you can use a coin to help. You can now remove the brush roller and remove any dirt from it. If needed, use scissors or tweezers to help. To insert, close the lock again and place the floor nozzle on the lower end of the suction tube.

No, vacuum cleaner bags are not needed for the hoogo S4. Simply open the respective compartment, take out the container, and empty it.

This depends on the frequency of use and the amount of dirt vacuumed. However, you should change the dust bag once the suction power decreases.

If the battery is empty, the hoogo S4 turns itself off and needs to be charged with the charging cord. After a maximum of 3.5 hours, the battery is fully charged again.
