Charging & Maintaining S5+

You charge the vacuum cleaner with a charging cable. The battery does not have to be in the device during the charging process. You can simply remove the battery and charge it at any power outlet. Alternatively, you can also charge the battery in the wall mount. Attach the included wall mount to the wall near a power outlet to charge your hoogo S5+ in a space-saving way. With the exchangeable battery, you can also vacuum while the other battery is still charging, thus doubling the runtime of the device.

The long-lasting Samsung cells are fully charged after a maximum of 4 hours. The LEDs on the battery indicate the charging progress. The battery indicator and display strip pulsate when charging and stop when fully charged. For maximum battery life, disconnect the battery from the power supply when fully charged. The battery indicator (Fig. 1, No. 15) shows the charge level of the device. The battery indicator flashes when the battery charge level is below 10%. The battery indicator pulses when the battery is being charged. The display strip (Fig. 1, No. 14) shows the charge level of the device. The display strip lights up blue when the battery charge level is above 20 % it turns red when the battery charge level is below 20 % the display strip pulses red when the battery charge level is below 10 % the display strip pulses blue when the battery is being charged.

The LED indicators on the battery has two functions. The battery indicator flashes when the battery charge level is below 10% and the battery indicator pulses when the battery is charging. The display strip shows the charge level of the device. The power level indicator (Fig. 1, No. 11) shows the set power level and serves as a cleaning and error indicator. The display shows the number of the respective power level set. The display shows an "E" when the dust container is full and an "H" when the motor protection has been triggered. The power level can be changed via the power level display with touch bar (Fig. 1, No. 12). The dash display shows the set power level, three dashes light up for each power level. The power level can be reduced by touching the Min symbol to the left of the dash display. The power level can be increased by touching the Max symbol to the right of the dash display. A power level can also be selected directly by touching the dash display.

The dust bin can only hold a limited amount of dirt. You should therefore empty it regularly, but at the latest when "E" appears on the display, the container must be emptied and/or the filters cleaned. To empty, simply open the dust container lid and hold the dust container over a trash can. Now tap out the bin with light strokes and wipe with a dry cloth if necessary.

Regular cleaning is important, otherwise the filter will become clogged with dust and obstruct the airflow. As a result, the suction power in the nozzle is reduced. To clean the blow-out filter, first press the catch to unlock the filter. Remove the filter and tap it out lightly or brush it with a soft brush. A furniture brush, for example, is suitable for this purpose. Replace the filter. Only clean the filter dry, as it will be damaged by water and wetness.

To clean the dust container optimally, you should occasionally wash the filter after tapping out the dust container. To do this, first tap out the dust container over the trash can. Then remove the filter from the unit and tap it out again if necessary. After that, you can wash the filter with clean water. Allow the filter to dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours before reinserting it into the unit.

Dirt can impair the rotation of the brush roller. We therefore recommend that you clean it regularly. To do this, switch off the hoogo S5+ and press the lower lock on the suction tube to unlock the floor nozzle first. Pull the floor nozzle off the suction tube and loosen the roller attachment on the side of the floor nozzle. If it does not come off immediately, you can use a coin to help you. Now you can remove the brush roller and clean it from dirt. A small cleaning tool is included. To replace it, close the lock and place the floor nozzle on the lower end of the suction tube.

No, you do not need a dust bag for your hoogo S5+. Simply open the corresponding compartment, remove the container and empty it. You can also easily insert our hoogo blitzblank dust bag into your hoogo S5+. Simply remove the cyclone unit, insert the hoogo blitzblank bag holder and start vacuuming. When you need to change the bag, it closes automatically and you can simply dispose of it - perfect for allergy sufferers!

This always depends on the frequency of use and the amount of dirt vacuumed. However, you should clean the dust container at the latest when the suction power decreases.

When the battery is empty the hoogo S5+ switches off. You must connect the empty battery to the charging cable. It will be fully charged again after a maximum of 4 hours.
