The pre-motor filter is located between the dust container and the motor. The pre-motor filter needs to be cleaned regularly from particulate matter to ensure a high suction power. Because with a high amount of dirt in the filter, airflow can be obstructed which causes the suction power to decrease. To clean the pre-motor filter, empty the container before taking out the filter on the cyclone unit. Knock out the dirt before rinsing it with clear water. Before putting the filter back in, let it dry thoroughly (it can take up to 24 hours on a heater or in the sunlight). Never put the filter back in while it is wet! While the filter is drying you can simply use the supplied second filter. You can also find information on how to clean the hoogo S3 in the handling manual.

You can charge the hoogo S3 with a charging cord. Install the wall mount close to an outlet to safe space while charging the hoogo S3.

It takes a maximum of 5 hours. The control panel with display on the handpiece of the vacuum cleaner shows the charging progress. The more bars that light up, the fuller the battery is. When all bars are lit, the battery is fully charged.

The hoogo S3 has a display on the handset that has the following features:

On and Off button: The on and off button turns the S3 on and off.

Power level indicator: The display shows which power level you are currently using, using a symbol and number. You can also use these control panels to increase or decrease the power level.

Charge level indicator: The charge level indicator has up to 15 dashes that show you the charge level of the battery. At 15 dashes the battery is fully charged.

Cleaning indicator: the cleaning indicator lights up when either the dust container or the filter needs to be emptied or cleaned.

The dust container can only hold a limited amount of dirt. You should empty the dust container once the cleaning indicator lights up. To empty the container, simply open the dust container lid and hold it over a garbage can. Now lightly knock on the container to empty it and wipe with a dry cloth, if needed. On this occasion, check if the pre-motor needs cleaning as well.

For an optimal cleaning of the dust container, you should always check the filter after knocking all dirt out of the dust container. If needed, knock out all dirt and clean it as well. To do that, first clean the dust container over a garbage can. Then take out the filter and knock it as well. Afterwards, you can rinse the filter with clear water. Let it dry at least 24 hours and room temperature before placing it back in the device.

The brush roller has a self-cleaning function, which reduces the amount of hair rolling up on it compared to other electric nozzles. Still, dirt can accumulate over time, which obstructs the turning motion of the brush. That is why we recommend regular checks and cleaning. To do this, turn off the hoogo S3 and press the detent on the suction pipe to unlock the floor nozzle. Then pull the floor nozzle off the suction pipe and loosen the attachment of the roller on the side of the floor nozzle. If this does not come off immediately, you can use a coin to help. You can now remove the brush roller and remove any dirt from it. If needed, use scissors or tweezers to help. To insert, close the lock again and place the floor nozzle on the lower end of the suction tube.

No, vacuum cleaner bags are not needed for the hoogo S3. Simply open the respective compartment, take out the container, and empty it.

This depends on the frequency of use and the amount of dirt vacuumed. However, you should change the dust bag once the indicator lights up, when it reaches the maximum mark, or the suction power decreases.

If the battery is empty, the hoogo S3 turns itself off and needs to be charged with the charging cord. After a maximum of 5 hours, the battery is fully charged again.
